Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar bahasa Arab SMA kelas X dan XI serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan instrumen tes cloze (uji rumpang) untuk mengetahui tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar serta menggunakan angket untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh teks bacaan (wacana) dalam buku ajar bahasa Arab SMA kelas X dan XI karangan Zakiyah Arifah dan Nadia Afidati serta siswa kelas X dan XI SMA PGII 2 Bandung sejumlah 284 siswa. Adapun sampel yang digunakan adalah tiga teks bacaan yang diambil dari buku ajar bahasa Arab kelas X dan tiga teks bacaan yang diambil dari buku ajar bahasa Arab kelas XI yang diambil secara acak, serta 37 siswa kelas X dan 36 siswa kelas XI yang diambil dengan metode sampel klaster. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar bahasa Arab kelas X berada pada level menengah (instruksional) dengan persentase 54%, sementara tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar kelas XI juga berada pada level menengah dengan persentase 41%. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa buku ajar bahasa Arab kelas X dan XI bisa dibaca, dipahami siswa, serta mereka mampu berinteraksi dengan buku tersebut, hanya saja siswa membutuhkan bimbingan guru dalam berinteraksi dengan buku ajar tersebut. Kondisi keterbacaan buku ajar yang berada pada level menengah tersebut sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor pembacanya, terutama lemahnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks berbahasa Arab. This study aimed at recognizing the Readability level of the Arabic Language text Book for the tenth grade and eleventh grade with the factors influencing in it . To achieve the aim of this study, the researcher used Cloze Test to measure the level of readability of the text book. questionnaire bas used to identify the factors that influence in the readability level of the Arabic Language text Book, Ana their validity and reliability were checked. The population of the study included all the prose texts in texts in the Arabic Language text Book for the tenth grade and eleventh grade by Zakiyah Arifah and Naia Afidati. And of all the students in the tenth grade and eleventh grade in PGII 2 Senior High School Bandung (284 students) in the school year 2016/2017. For the sample of the study, three prose texts were chosen randomly from the Arabic Language Text Book for the tenth grade and in three prose texts were chosen randomly from the Arabic Language Text Book for the eleventh grade, and 37 male and female students were chosen by the random cluster method from the tenth grade students and 36 male and female students were chosen by the random cluster method from the eleventh grade students district as 26% of the study population. The results of the study showed that the level of readability of the Arabic Language Text Book for the tenth grade was medium (instructional) with a percentage of 54%, as well as that the level of readability of the Arabic Language Text Book for the tenth grade was medium with a percentage of 41%. This shows that the book can be studied and understood by students and they can interact with the book, it's just that they need the guidance of a teacher. The readability level textbooks that are at the medium level are generally caused by factors reader, and specifically by the students' reading abilities.
