Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum meratanya mutu pendidikan dalam suatu daerah, khususnya pada pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan agar pembelajaran matematika lebih mudah dipahami oleh seluruh siswa dengan memanfaatkan permasalahan sehari-hari yang disesuaikan dengan lingkungan siswa di mana ia berada. Hal tersebut pada kenyataannya masih jarang diterapkan oleh guru. Karena itulah diperlukan pembelajaran matematika yang dikaitkan dengan permasalahan sehari-hari berbasis nilai-nilai sosial budaya dari lingkungan siswa atau diistilahkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika. Pembelajaran pun tak lepas dari suatu bahan ajar, sehingga dalam hal ini dibutuhkan pengembangan bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini mengambil metode problem solving berbasis etnomatematika dengan topik permasalahan pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Pengembangan bahan ajar dilakukan dengan lima tahapan. Tahap analysis terdiri dari : (1) analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar; (2) analisis kurikulum; (3) analisis karakteristik siswa; dan (4) analisis nilai-nilai sosial dan budaya. Tahap design merupakan tahap perancangan format bahan ajar. Tahap development terdiri dari pengembangan bahan ajar dari blue print format bahan ajar dan validasi ahli. Tahap implementation merupakan tahap uji coba pada pengembangan bahan ajar awal. Tahap evaluation meliputi refleksi dari implementasi dan revisi bahan ajar. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini berupa suatu produk bahan ajar LKS melalui problem solving berbasis etnomatematika materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP dengan penelitian bertempat di SMP Negeri 3 Cibadak, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten. Kata Kunci : bahan ajar, problem solving, etnomatematika, sistem persamaan linear dua variabel This research is motivated by uneven quality of education in a region, especially on mathematics learning. One way that can be used for learning mathematics more easily understood by all students by taking advantage of daily problems adapted to the student’s environment in which is located. In fact, that still rarely applied by teachers. Because of that, mathematics learning can be associated with daily problems based on social and cultural values of the student’s environment, or termed learning based on ethnomathematics. Learning could not separated with learning materials, which means in this case required the development of learning materials in mathematics learning. This reseach takes the method of problem solving based on ethnomathematics with the topic of Linear Equation System of Two Variables problems. Development of learning materials was done with five stages. Analysis stage consist of (1) learning mathematics obstacles analysis; (2) curriculum analysis; (3) student’s characteristic analysis; and (4) socio-cultural values analysis. Design stage means design format of learning materials. Development stage, there are learning material’s development from the blue print format of learning materials and expert validation. Implementation stage which means the trial for beginning of development of learning materials. Evaluation stage consist of reflection from the implementation and revision of learning materials. The final result of this research is a product of learning materials on student worksheet form trough problem solving methods with topic Linear Equations System of Two Variables for students in grade VIII of 3 Junior High School on Cibadak, Lebak Regency, Banten.
