Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kerja sama siswa kelas IV di SD S Bandung karena kelompok belajar siswa masih homogen tidak heterogen. Melihat kondisi ini, peneliti mencoba meningkatkan kerja sama siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together yang difokuskan pada pembelajaran IPS. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together pada siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran IPS, (2) peningkatan kerja sama siswa kelas IV setelah diterapkan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together pada pembelajaran IPS. (3) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV setelah diterapkan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together pada pembelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Taggart. Pada siklus I perolehan rata-rata kerja sama siswa yaitu 53% termasuk kriteria cukup (Arikunto dan Jabar, 2014, hlm. 35). Dilanjutkan pada siklus II meningkat 34% menjadi 87% sudah mencapai kriteria sangat tinggi. Pada pelaksanaannya, model NHT selain dapat meningkatkan kerja sama siswa juga berdampak pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together dapat meningkatkan kerja sama dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV di SD S Bandung. Kata Kunci: Model NHT, Kerja Sama. ;---This research was motivated by the low rate of cooperation student among IV grade students of S Elementary School Bandung because study group of learning still homogen not heterogen. Finding this condition, the researcher tried to improve the cooperation among students by implementing the learning model with Numbered Head Together type that focusing on the social science learning. Therefore, the purpose of this research are to describe: (1) The learning implementation by applying cooperative model Numbered Head Together type in improving the cooperation among IV grade students toward social science learning, (2) The improvement of cooperation among IV grade students after applied the cooperative model of Numbered Head Together type on social science learning. (3) The improvement of learning outcomes among IV grade students after applied the cooperative model of Numbered Head Together type on social science learning. The research method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) developed by Kemmis and Taggart. In the cycle I, the average of students cooperation was 53% with the sufficient criteria (Arikunto dan Jabar, 2014, p. 35). In the cycle II, the improvement was about 34% reached up to 87% which referred to very high criteria. The implementation showed that the improvement of student’s cooperation had a nurturant effect on the improvement of student learning outcomes. So the conclusion, that cooperative model NHT type can improving cooperation and improving of student learning outcomes for class IV of S Elementary School Bandung.
