Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya mengembangkan perilaku prososial pada peserta didik melalui program bimbingan yang terencana. Perilaku prososial dapat mendukung perkembangan sosial peserta didik sehingga peserta didik dapat bermanfaat bagi orang lain dan mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya. Tujuan penelitian adalah memperoleh gambaran perilaku prososial peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 43 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. dan merumuskan program hipotetik layanan dasar bimbingan dan konseling melalui teknik symbolic modeling untuk mengembangkan perilaku prososial peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode studi deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 346 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran umum perilaku prososial peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 43 Bandung Tahun ajaran 2016/2017 berada pada kategori tinggi, artinya peserta didik sudah mampu menampilkan perilaku prososial seperti berbagi, kerjasama, menolong, bertindak jujur, dan kedermawanan dalam kehidupannya seharihari. Implikasi gambaran umum perilaku prososial peserta didik bagi bimbingan dan konseling disusun dalam bentuk program hipotetik layanan dasar bimbingan dan konseling melalui teknik symbolic modeling untuk mengembangkan perilaku prososial peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 43 Bandung. Rekomendasi penelitian bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling atau konselor yaitu dapat menjadikan program sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk mengembangkan perilaku prososial melalui program hipotetik layanan dasar bimbingan dan konseling dengan menggunakan teknik symbolic modeling.----------This research is motivated by the importance of developing prosocial behavior among students through planned guidance programs. Prosocial behavior may support students’ social development so that learners can be helpful for others and being able to adapt to their environment. The purpose of the research is to obtain an overview of students’ prosocial behavior of the seven grade students of SMPN 43 Bandung in academic year 2016/2017 and formulate hypothetical program of basic service guidance and counseling through symbolic modeling technique to develop students' prosocial behavior. The research used a quantitative approach with descriptive study method. Samples are 346 students. The results showed that the general description of prosocial behavior of the seven grade students of SMPN 43 Bandung in academic year 2016/2017 is at the high category, which means that students are already able to show prosocial behaviors such as sharing, cooperation, helping, act honestly, and generosity in their dailylife. The implications of the general description of students' prosocial behavior for guidance and counseling was arranged in the form of a hypothetical program of basic service guidance and counseling through symbolic modeling technique to develop prosocial behavior of the seven grade students of SMPN 43 Bandung. Research recommendation for guidance and counseling teacher or counselor is that it can make the program as consideration to develop prosocial behavior through hypothetical program of basic service guidance and counseling by using symbolic modeling techniques.
