Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh buku ajar IPA terpadu pada pemahaman konsep dan motivasi siswa pada pembelajaran pemanasan global. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi experiment dan desain penelitiannya adalah two-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dari semua kelas VII sekolah menengah pertama di Kabupaten Bandung. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yang terdiri dari 29 siswa pada kelas experimen dan 31 siswa pada kelas kontrol. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Peningkatan pemahaman konsep di kelas experimen yang menggunakan integrated model lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan cellular model dengan perolehan n-gain kelas experiment sebesar 0.53 dan kelas control sebesar 0.45 (2) Hasil dari motivasi siswa pada kelas experimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan perolehan 4,3 untuk kelas experiment dan 3.9 untuk kelas kontrol. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah buku ajar IPA terpadu integrated model dapat digunakan untuk mengukur ranah kognitif yang lain seperti berpikir kritis, kreativitas siswa dan lain lain.;---The aim of this research is to identify the effect of integrated science text book towards students’ conceptual understanding and motivation in learning global warming. The method which was used in this research are quasi experiment and the research design is two-group pretest-posttest. The population was VII grade students of Junior High School in Bandung Regency. The sample technique using purposive sampling that consist of 29 students from experimental class and 31 students from control class. The results of this research is: (1) the increasing of Students’ conceptual understanding on experimental class which using integrated model is better rather than control class which using cellular model with the data obtain for experimental class is 0.53 while control class is 0.45 (2) Result of students’ motivation on experimental class is better rather than control class with the data obtain 4,3 for experiment class and 3.9 for control class. The recommendation for the next research is integrated science text book can be used to measure students’ cognitive such as critical thinking, students’ creativity and so on.
