Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam menulis. Dan setelah menganalisis hasil menulis karangan siswa, sebagian besar siswa dari seluruh jumlah siswa dalam kelas nilainya belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Sehingga penelitian ini difokuskan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis khususnya menulis karangan sederhana dengan menerapkan metode Cooperative Reading and Composition (CIRC).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk perencanaan, proses pelaksanaan dan mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menulis setelah diterapkannya metode Cooperative Reading and Composition (CIRC). Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan menerapkan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas serta menggunakan model pembelajaran yang diadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III dari salahsatu SD Negeri di kawasan Cihampelas Kecamatan Coblong yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, nilai rata-rata siswa pada pra-tindakan sebesar 59,2, kemudian pada siklus I sebesar 63,5, dan pada siklus II sebesar 80,54. ---------- This research is motivated by the lack of students' skills in writing. And after analyzing the results of the student essay writing, most students of the total number of students in class value has not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Therefore, this research focused on improving writing skills, especially writing a simple essay by applying methods of Cooperative Reading and Composition (CIRC). The purpose of this study was to determine the form of planning, implementation process and determine the increase writing skills after the implementation of the method Cooperative Reading and Composition (CIRC). This research was conducted in two cycles by applying classroom action research method and using the teaching model adapted from the model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Subjects in this study is the third grade students from one elementary school in the District Coblong Cihampelas area totaling 26 students. The results showed an increase, the average value of students in the pre-action amounted to 59.2, then in the first cycle of 63.5, and the second cycle of 80.54.
