Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa, padahal kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis sangat diperlukan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan suatu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengajarkan matematika dengan pendekatan, metode, dan model pembelajaran yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan disposisi matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu SMP di Kota Bandung. Sampel penelitian ini adalah dua kelompok siswa pada kelas yang berbeda, yaitu kelas eksperimen satu dan kelas eksperimen dua. Kelas eksperimen satu mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific dan kelas eksperimen dua mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes berupa soal pretes-posttest dan instrumen non-tes berupa angket disposisi matematis dan lembar observasi. Pengolahan dan analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan bantuan software Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 18.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction tidak lebih besar daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific. (2) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction tidak lebih besar daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific. (3) Disposisi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific. ---------- The background of this research is due to the students’ low ability in mathematical creative thinking, meanwhile mathematical creative thinking ability is really needed in learning mathematics. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to enhance the students’ mathematical creative thinking ability. One of the efforts that should be done is teaching mathematics by using appropriate approaches, methods, and models. This research is aimed to investigate the effect of Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction towards mathematical creative thinking ability and mathematical disposition. The method used in this research was quasi-experiment by using pretest-posttest. The population of this research was students in grade VIII in one of junior high school in Bandung. The samples of this research were two groups of students in different classes: first experimental class and second experimental class. In their learning, the first experimental class was given Scientific-approach and the second experimental class was given Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction. The instruments consist of applied in this research: test instrument and non-test instrument in form of mathematical disposition questioner and observer’s sheet. The data was processed and analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 18.0. Based on processed and analyzed data, it can be concluded that: (1) The achievement of mathematical creative thinking ability of students who were given Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction is not bigger from those who were given Scientific-approach. (2) The enhancement of mathematical creative thinking ability of students who were given Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction is not bigger from those who were given Scientific-approach. (3) The mathematical disposition of students who were given Ang’s Framework for Mathematical Modelling Instruction is better than those who were given Scientific-approach.
