Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan media simulasi virtual perubahan wujud zat dan penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran fisika, untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi pada konsep perubahan wujud zat. Media simulasi virtual digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan fenomena perubahan wujud zat yang bersifat mikroskopis dan tidak dapat dilihat dengan pengamatan langsung. Pada penelitian ini, media simulasi virtual diaplikasikan pada model pembelajaran ECIRR (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, Reinforce). Media simulasi virtual digunakan pada tahapan Resolve untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 38 orang siswa kelas 2 SMA di salah satu SMA di Kabupaten Bandung Barat dengan metode campuran kualitatif-kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan purposive sampling, dengan kriteria yang dijadikan sebagai sampel adalah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi perubahan wujud zat. Berdasar pada perbandingan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media simulasi virtual, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media simulasi virtual dapat membantu meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi perubahan wujud zat. Konsistensi konsepsi siswa juga digunakan untuk mengetahui apakah siswa telah sepenuhnya memiliki konsepsi ilmiah setelah diremediasi.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsistensi konsepsi siswa berada pada kategori cukup konsisten, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa miskonsepsi siswa sudah benar-benar diremediasi. ---------- A developmental study of virtual simulation media and its applications in physics instruction has been conducted to remediate student’s misconception on the change of matter concept. Virtual simulation media then used to visualize microscopies phenomena for Change of Matter in which it cannot be observed directly by the naked eye. Virtual simulation media was implemented by using the ECIRR instructional model (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, Reinforce). Virtual simulation media was integrated on Resolve phase in order to arouse cognitive conflict in remediating student’s misconception. Mix method qualitative-quantitative was used by involving 38 second-year students at one of Senior High School in West Bandung Regency who have misconception on the change of matter. Based on the comparison of the quantity of student who have misconception before and after using the virtual simulation media, the findings showed that the development of virtual simulation media, supports to remediate student’s misconception for physics instructionon the Change of Matter concept. The consistency of students' conceptions was also used to determine whether or not the students have fully scientific conceptions after remediated. In addition, the findings showed that the consistency of students' conceptions were quite consistent. Therefore, it means that students misconceptions have been fully remediated by using virtual simulation media which was developed.
