Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan problem solving siswa yang menggunakan model TAPPS (Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving) dengan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran yang langkah-langkahnya diajukan pada buku pegangan guru kurikulum 2013; (2) mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi-eksperimen, dengan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Populasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 4 Cimahi tahun ajaran 2014/2015, dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa pada kelas VII-6 dan VII-8 sekolah tersebut. Dimana salah satu kelasnya menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas yang lainnya menjadi kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran TAPPS sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran yang langkah-langkahnya diajukan pada buku pegangan guru matematika SMP kurikulum 2013. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan problem solving siswa, angket dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah: (1) tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan problem solving matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving(TAPPS) dengan pendekatan saintifik dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran yang berpedoman pada buku pegangan guru matematika kurikulum 2013. Kualitas peningkatan kemampuan problem solving matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving(TAPPS) dan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran yang berpedoman pada buku pegangan guru matematika kurikulum 2013 tergolong sedang; (2) sikap siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving(TAPPS) sangat positif. The research was distributed by low level of mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students. The purpose of this study is (1) to know the difference improvement problem solving ability of students who use the model Tapps (Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving) with a scientific approach with a scientific approach to the model of learning which the steps proposed in 2013 curriculum teacher handbook. (2) determine students' attitudes towards the learning model of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group. Population of this study were all students of VII grade of SMP 4 Cimahi in 2014/2015 academic year, and samples in this study are students of VII-8 VII-6 class at that school where one class became an experimental class and other classes became the control class. The Experimental class derive a learning with TAPPS models, while The control class derive a learning with a learning model that the steps are proposed in the junior high school math teacher handbook curriculum of 2013. This research data obtained through the student's problem solving ability test, questionnaire and observation sheet. The results of this research are : (1) There was no difference in mathematical problem solving ability improvement among students who get a learning model of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) with a scientific approach with students who get a learning model based on the mathemathics teacher handbook curriculum of 2013. Quality improvement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who get learning model of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) and students who get a learning model based on the mathemathics teacher handbook curriculum of 2013 are goes to medium; (2) attitudes of students who get the learning model of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) are very positive.
