Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 menyajikan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis teks. Salah satu genre teks yang harus dikuasai siswa adalah teks cerita pendek. Faktanya, kemampuan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa masih tergolong rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks cerita pendek diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah siswa merasa kesulitan dalam menuangkan dan mengembangkan ide dalam menulis cerita pendek. Salah satu alternatif untuk menanggulangi masalah tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan teknik peta pikiran berorientasi nilai-nilai karakter. Teknik peta pikiran berorientasi nilai-nilai karakter adalah cara menulis yang kreatif, efektif, dan secara harfiah akan memetakan pikiran-pikiran siswa dengan dilandasi nilai-nilai karakter positif. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh 5,400 ≥ 2,002 atau t_hitung ≥ t_tabel dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil tersebut menyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, atau dengan kata lain terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas pembanding. Kata kunci: Menulis, Teknik Peta pikiran, Nilai-nilai Karakter, Teks Cerita Pendek Curriculum 2013 presents a text-based learning Indonesian. One genre of text that should be controlled by the students is a short story text. In fact, the ability of students to write a short story text is still relatively low. Low ability students in writing a short story text caused by several factors, one of which is the students feel difficulty in expressing and developing ideas in writing short stories. One alternative to overcome this problem is to apply the mind map technique oriented character values. Mind map technique oriented character values is a way to write a creative, effective, and literally will map the minds of students with based on positive character values. Based on calculations derived hypothesis test ≥ 5.400 ≥ 2.002 or t_(hitung )≥t_tabel with 95% confidence level. The results stated that H0 is rejected and Ha is received, or in other words there are significant differences in the ability to write a short story text students in the experimental class and class comparison.
