    Abstract

    This study aims to identify and analyze the role of the school environment in enhancing the self-confidence of fourth-grade students at SDIT At-Taqwa. The school environment in this context includes the social environment (teachers and peers), the non-social environment (physical facilities), as well as school programs that support students' courage and participation in the learning process. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with the principal, homeroom teacher, and subject teachers (Islamic Studies, Physical Education, and Qur’an memorization), as well as documentation for supporting data. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the school environment plays an active role in improving students' self-confidence through supportive teacher approaches, regular speaking practices in the Ta’lim program, peer support, and a child-friendly, flexible classroom setting. School facilities such as comfortable classrooms and spacious sports areas also contribute to a safe atmosphere that encourages students to participate actively. The study concludes that a positively managed and integrated school environment can significantly contribute to the development of students’ self-confidence. Future researchers are encouraged to expand this study using a quantitative approach or by conducting comparative studies across different grade levels. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis peran lingkungan sekolah dalam meningkatkan sikap percaya diri siswa kelas IV SDIT At-Taqwa. Lingkungan sekolah yang dimaksud mencakup lingkungan sosial (guru dan teman sebaya), lingkungan nonsosial (fasilitas fisik), serta program-program sekolah yang mendukung keberanian dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi di kelas IV, wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru wali kelas, dan guru mata pelajaran (PAI, PJOK, dan hafalan surat), serta dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah berperan aktif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa melalui pendekatan guru yang suportif, pembiasaan tampil dalam program Ta’lim, dukungan dari teman sebaya, dan pengelolaan kelas yang ramah serta fleksibel. Fasilitas sekolah seperti ruang kelas yang nyaman dan area olahraga yang luas turut mendukung rasa aman dan keberanian siswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa lingkungan sekolah yang dikelola secara positif dan terpadu mampu memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menumbuhkan sikap percaya diri siswa. Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengembangkan studi ini dengan pendekatan kuantitatif atau membandingkan antar jenjang kelas.
