    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Total Physical Response (TPR) berbantuan media interaktif terhadap keterampilan menyimak Bahasa Inggris peserta didik Fase B Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design) tipe nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas paralel pada peserta didik kelas III di salah satu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Karangnunggal, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Data diperoleh melalui pre-test dan post-test keterampilan menyimak. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05). Rata-rata nilai N-Gain kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,53 (kategori sedang), sedangkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,29 (kategori rendah). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan metode TPR berbantuan media interaktif berpengaruh secara signifikan dan positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menyimak Bahasa Inggris peserta didik. Sebagai rekomendasi, guru disarankan untuk mengintegrasikan metode TPR dan media interaktif secara konsisten dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih efektif, menyenangkan, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak peserta didik. This study aims to determine the effect of the Total Physical Response (TPR) method assisted by interactive media on the English listening skills of Phase B elementary school students. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group type. The research subjects were two parallel classes of third-grade students at a public elementary school in Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests of listening skills. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of 0.00 (< 0.05). The average N-Gain score of the experimental group was 0.53 (moderate category), while the control group scored 0.29 (low category). These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the TPR method assisted by interactive media has a significant and positive effect on improving students’ English listening skills. As a recommendation, teachers are encouraged to consistently integrate the TPR method with interactive media in English instruction to create a more active, enjoyable, and effective learning environment that enhances students’ listening skills.
