    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model guided discovery learning dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep materi bangun ruang pada siswa fase c sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi karakteristik bangun ruang kubus dan balok. Salah satu penyebab yang mempengaruhi rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa adalah kurangnya model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-eksperimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini siswa Fase C di SDN Kota Jakarta Barat dengan sampel berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes berbentuk uraian berjumlah 5 butir soal berdasarkan 4 indikator pemahaman konsep matematis. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji paired sample t-test, dan uji perbedaan terhadap skor N-Gain untuk melihat tingkat efektivitas dari implementasi model guided discovery learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan (prettest) sebesar 51,5, dan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan (posttest) sebesar 83,83. Hal ini menunjukan adanya perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan dari implementasi model guided discovery learning dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep materi bangun ruang siswa Fase C SD. Hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil uji paired sample t-test sebesar 0,000 < α (0,05). Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa juga dibuktikan berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan terhadap skor N-Gain dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 69,37%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model guided discovery learning dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa karena termasuk kedalam kategori sedang dan cukup efektif. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the guided discovery learning model in improving conceptual understanding of spatial figures in grade C elementary school students. This study was motivated by the low conceptual understanding of students regarding the characteristics of cubes and cuboids. One of the factors causing this low understanding is the lack of an appropriate learning model that actively involves students in improving their mathematical conceptual understanding. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was grade C students of elementary schools in West Jakarta, with a sample size of 30 students. The research instrument was a written test consisting of 5 descriptive questions based on 4 indicators of mathematical conceptual understanding. Data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain score difference tests to assess the effectiveness of the guided discovery learning model. The results showed that the average pretest score was 51.5, while the average posttest score increased to 83.83. This shows a significant difference in scores due to the use of guided discovery learning models to improve students' conceptual understanding through the paired sample t-test producing a value of 0.000, which is smaller than α (0.05), The increase in understanding of mathematical concepts is shown from the results of the N-Gain Analysis showing an average score of 69.37%, In conclusion, the guided discovery learning model effectively improves students' conceptual understanding of mathematics moderetes and quite effective categories.
