Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh media loose parts yang sudah digunakan sejak lama di TK Negeri Centeh Kota Bandung. Ketika pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media loose parts anak terlihat antusias untuk mengikuti pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran dapat membantu guru untuk menyampaikan pesan yang akan diberikan, sehingga anak akan lebih mudah memahami pesan tersebut. Matematika berhubungan dengan perkembangan kognitif pada anak, untuk mengembangkan perkembangan kognitif pada anak usia dini dapat melalui pembelajaran matematika. Tahapan kognitif terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu, enaktif, ikonik, dan simbolik, ketiga tahapan tersebut saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek pada penelitian ini ialah satu kelas B dan dua orang guru. Hasil data penelitian menjelaskan bahwa media loose parts efektif digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan matematika pada anak usia dini. Kemampuan matematika yang muncul pada anak ketika pembelajaran yaitu bilangan, dan geometri. Guru sudah melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran dengan sangat baik. Evaluasi yang digunakan guru meliputi catatan anekdot dan hasil karya. Selain mengembangkan kemampuan matematika, media loose parts juga dapat membantu perkembangan anak secara menyeluruh. Rekomendasi dari peneliti diajukan kepada guru agar memberikan kesempatan kepada anak untuk berkreasi sesuai dengan imajinasi dan kreativitasnya masing-masing This research is motivated by loose parts media that have been used for a long time in TK Negeri Centeh, Bandung City. When learning mathematics using loose parts media, children look enthusiastic to follow the learning. Learning media can help teachers to convey the message to be given, so that children will understand the message more easily. Mathematics is related to cognitive development in children, to develop cognitive development in early childhood can be through mathematics learning. The cognitive stages are divided into three parts, namely, enactive, iconic, and symbolic, the three stages are interrelated with each other. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The subjects in this study were one class B and two teachers. The results of the research data explain that loose parts media are effective for developing mathematical abilities in early childhood. The mathematical abilities that emerge in children during learning are numbers and geometry. Teachers have carried out learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation very well. The evaluation used by teachers includes anecdotal notes and work results. In addition to developing mathematical abilities, loose parts media can also help children's overall development. The researcher's recommendation is submitted to teachers to provide opportunities for children to be creative according to their imagination and creativity
