Abstract
Keterlibatan orang tua memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak usia dini. Lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini yang menerapkan keterlibatan orang tua dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan masih terbatas. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menggali keterlibatan orang tua di TK Labschool UPI. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Partisipan dalam penelitian berjumlah empat orang yang terdiri atas dua orang tua murid, satu orang guru, dan satu orang kepala TK Labschool UPI. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi. Tenik analisis data menggunakan model analisis Milles & Huberman dan menggunakan teknik analisis coding. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya keterlibatan orang tua dalam berbagai aspek penyelenggaraan pendidikan di TK Labschool UPI, meliputi keterlibatan orang tua dalam pengembangan kurikulum, penyediaan media pembelajaran, pembelajaran PAUD, evaluasi perkembangan anak, evaluasi penyelenggaraan pendidikan, dan keterlibatan dalam program pendidikan. Guru memiliki peran terhadap bentuk-bentuk keterlibatan tersebut. Keterlibatan orang tua di TK Labschool UPI mengalami berbagai hambatan yang dihadapi oleh semua pihak, namun upaya mereka dalam mengatasi hambatan tersebut menunjukkan komitmen mereka dalam mendukung pendidikan anak. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengekplorasi keterlibatan orang tua dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di lembaga lain, agar mendapatkan perspektif yang lebih luas dan memperkaya hasil penelitian ini dengan berbagai bentuk keterlibatan yang berbeda. Parental involvement plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of early childhood education. However, early childhood education institutions that implement parental involvement in their educational management are still limited. This study aims to explore involvement at TK Labschool UPI. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Participants in this study consisted of four people, including two parent, one teacher, and principal of TK Labschool UPI. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and document studies. The data analysis technique follows the Milles & Huberman model and using coding analysis. The findings of the study indicate the involvement of parents in varaious aspects of educational provision at TK Labschool UPI, such as parental involvement in curriculum development, provision of learning media, early childhood education learning, child development evaluation, education provision evaluation, and involvement in educational programs. Teachers play a role in shaping these forms of involvement. Parental involvement at TK Labschool UPI faces various challenges encountered by all parties, but their efforts to overcome these obstacles demonstrate their commitment to supporting children’s education. Further research is expected to explore parental involvement in educational management in orther institutions, in order to gain a broader perspective and enrich the findings of this study with various forms of different involvement.
