Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi merupakan keterampilan yang penting dimiliki peserta didik pada abad 21. Dalam pendidikan, salah satu penerapan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi terdapat pada mata pelajaran matematika. Berdasarkan data dan penelitian terdahulu masih terdapat banyak peserta didik yang belum menguasai keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi khususnya dalam pembelajaaran matematika. Keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi membutuhkan analisis yang kompleks sehingga seringkali peserta didik kesulitan dan menyerah, namun ada juga peserta didik yang bertahan menghadapi kesulitan tersebut. Ketahanan seseorang dalam menghadapi kesulitan menyelesaikan persoalan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi memiliki keterkaitan dengan suatu konsep yang disebut Adversity Question (AQ). Teori AQ menyebutkan bahwa kesuksesan peserta didik dalam menghadapi suatu permasalahan ditentukan Adversity Quotient (AQ) yang dimilikinya. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan hubungan AQ dengan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional dan desain kausal asosiatif satu arah. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas V SDN 037 Sabang dan sampelnya merupakan salah satu kelas V yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) Adversity Quotient dan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi memiliki hubungan sebesar 0,572 yang berarti berada dalam kategori sedang, 2) Adversity Quotient berpangaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, 3) Adversity Quotient memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 32,8% terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan sisanya sebesar 67,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. Higher order thinking skills are important skills for students in the 21st century. In education, one of the applications of higher order thinking skills is in mathematics. Based on data and previous research, there are still many students who have not been able to have higher order thinking skills in mathematics. In solving problems that require higher order thinking skills, complex analysis is needed so that students often struggle and give up, but there are also students who persist in facing these difficulties. A person's resilience in solving problems that require higher order thinking skills is related to a concept called Adversity Question (AQ). AQ theory states that the success of students in dealing with a problem is determined by their Adversity Quotient (AQ). This study aims to prove the correlation between AQ and higher order thinking skills. This research is a quantitative research with correlational method and one-way associative causal design. The population of this research is grade V students of SDN 037 Sabang, while the sample is one of the grade V classes selected through cluster random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that 1) Adversity Quotient and high-order thinking skills have a relationship of 0.572 which means they are in the medium category, 2) Adversity Quotient has a positive and significant effect on high-order thinking skills, 3) Adversity Quotient contributes an effect of 32.8% on high-order thinking skills and the remaining 67.2% is influenced by other variables not studied.
