Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya temuan di lapangan terkait rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa khususnya dalam meresepsi karya sastra. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode scaffolded reading terhadap kemampuan resepsi siswa terkait nilai moral dan nilai budaya dalam cerita legenda di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen, dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 orang siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 20 orang siswa pada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh metode scaffolded reading terhadap kemampuan resepsi siswa terkait nilai moral dan nilai budaya dalam cerita legenda. Terlihat dari rerata hasil post-test yang mengalami peningkatan sebesar 46.05 2) terdapat pengaruh metode cooperative integrated reading and composition terhadap kemampuan resepsi siswa terkait nilai moral dan nilai budaya dalam cerita legenda. Terlihat dari rerata hasil post-test yang mengalami peningkatan sebesar 42.65 3) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan resepsi siswa terkait nilai moral dan nilai budaya dalam cerita legenda antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dilihat dari uji beda hasil gain dengan nilai signifikansi sig. (2-tailed) 0.318 ≥ 0.05. : ------------- This research is motivated by the findings in the field related to the low reading comprehension skills of students, especially in responding to literary works. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the scaffolded reading method on students' reception skills related to moral values and cultural values in legendary stories in elementary schools. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, with a research sample of 20 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of this study indicate that 1) there is an effect of scaffolded reading method on students' reception ability related to moral values and cultural values in legendary stories. It can be seen from the average of post-test results which increased by 46.05 2) there is an effect of cooperative integrated reading and composition method on students' reception ability related to moral values and cultural values in legendary stories. It can be seen from the average post-test results which increased by 42.65 3) there is no difference in students' reception skills related to moral values and cultural values in legendary stories between experimental and control classes. This can be seen from the difference test of gain results with a significance value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.318 ≥ 0.05.
