Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik terhadap materi ciri bangun datar. Beberapa alasan di antaranya kurang bervariatifnya media pembelajaran yang mengakomodasi dan menarik perhatian peserta didik. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, rumusan masalah penelitian ini di antaranya bagaimana hasil analisis pembelajaran ciri bangun datar, desain media, hasil validasi dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Digital Shapes untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep ciri bangun datar pada peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Design and Development (D&D) dengan model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, wawancara, angket, dan soal evaluasi. Subjek dari penelitian ini terdiri dari validator dan peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam mengolah data adalah analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Digital Shapes sangat layak untuk diimplementasikan, dengan persentase 80% atau sangat layak dari ahli materi dan 83,8% dengan kriteria sangat layak dari ahli media. Selain itu, setelah diimplementasikan terdapat peningkatan pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik terhadap materi ciri bangun datar dengan kategori sedang. Simpulan pada penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran Digital Shapes sangat layak untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep ciri bangun datar pada fase B Sekolah Dasar. This study is motivated by the low ability of students' concept understanding of the material characteristics of two dimensional shapes. Some reasons include the lack of varied learning media that accommodate and attract the attention of students. Based on this background, the formulation of this research problem includes how the results of learning analysis of two dimensional shapes characteristics, media design, validation results and increased understanding of the concepts of students. This study aims to develop Digital Shapes learning media to improve understanding of the concept of two dimensional shapes characteristics in grade IV elementary school students. The method used in this research is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and evaluation questions. The subjects of this study consisted of validators and students.The data analysis technique used by researchers in processing data is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.The development results show that Digital Shapes learning media is very feasible to implement, with a percentage of 80% or very feasible from material experts and 83.8% with very feasible criteria from media experts.In addition, after implementation, there is an increase in the ability to understand the concept of students on the material of the characteristics of two dimensional shapes with a moderate category.The conclusion of this study is that Digital Shapes learning media is very feasible to be implemented in learning and is able to improve the ability to understand the concept of two dimensional shapes characteristics in phase B of Elementary School.
