    Abstract

    an sosial merupakan proses belajar untuk menyesuaikan diri terhadap norma- norma kelompok, moral, dan tradisi yang saling berkomunikasi dan bekerja sama. Kematangan sosial anak akan mengarahkan pada keberhasilan anak untuk lebih mandiri dan terampil dalam mengembangkan hubungan sosialnya. Perkembangan sosial perlu di stimulus oleh lingkungan dan orang sekitar anak. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana peran guru dalam meningkatkan perkembangan sosial anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualutatif deskriptif, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan sosial anak dan untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam meningkatkan perkembangan sosial anak di KB/TK Al-Biruni. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi pada anak usia 5-6 tahun dan wawancara kepada guru TK/KB Al-Biruni. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran guru dalam meningkatkan perkembangan sosial anak yaitu dengan cara memberikan kegiatan yang dapat menstimulus perekembangan sosial, seperti kegiatan sholat dhuha berjamaah, storrytelling, morning talk, bermain peran dan karyawisata.

    Social development is a learning process to adapt for group norms, morals, and traditions that communicate and work together. Children's social maturity will lead to the success of children to be more independent and skilled in developing social relationships. Social development needs to be stimulated by the environment and people around the child. Therefore, researchers want to know how the role of teachers in improving children's social development. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, with the aim of knowing the social development of children and to determine the role of teachers in improving the social development of children in KB/TK Al-Biruni. This research was conducted by observing children aged 5-6 years and interviewing Al-Biruni Kindergarten/KB teachers. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the teacher's role in improving children's social development is by providing activities that can stimulate social development, such as dhuha prayer activities in congregation, storytelling, morning talk, role playing and field trips.
