Abstract
ABSTRAK Hendri Marhadi (1802537). Pengembangan Model Project Based Learning Berbasis Tradisi Batobo (PjBL-TB) untuk Membangun Karakter Peduli Lingkungan Siswa Di Sekolah Dasar. Promotor Prof. Dr. H. Sapriya, M.Ed., Ko-Promotor Prof. Dr. H. Kama Abdul Hakam, M.Pd., Anggota Prof. Dr. H. Dasim Budimansyah, M.Si. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi masih rendahnya karakter peduli lingkungan siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Sentajo Raya Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah pembelajaran dilakukan kurang kontekstual, belum menghubungkan dengan karaktersitik lingkungan setempat seperti tradisi yang sarat nilai kebajikan. Untuk itu perlu dikembangkan model pembelajaran yang bersinergi dengan tradisi yang dapat memfasilitasi membangun karakter tersebut, diantaranya model Project Based Learning berbasis tradisi batobo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan model project based learning berbasis tradisi batobo (PjBL-TB) di sekolah dasar, 2) menguji efektifitas model PjBL-TB membangun karakter peduli lingkungan siswa, 3) menganalisis tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap penerapan model PjBL-TB. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang dimodifikasi menjadi tiga tahapan, 1)studi pendahuluan, 2)pengembangan dan uji efektifitas, 3)membahas hasil penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN di Kecamatan Sentajo Raya Kuantan Singingi-Riau. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, tes dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan program exel komputer dan SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: 1) desain model PjBL-TB terdiri dari (1)sintak yakni manyamulo (permulaan), mancangkul (perencanaan proyek), mananam (pelaksanaan proyek), manuai (diskusi), panutuik (evaluasi); (2)sistem sosial; (3)prinsip reaksi; (4)sistem pendukung; (5)dampak instruksional dan pengiring. 2) Hasil uji efektifitas penerapan model PjBL-TB pada kelas eksperimen, karakter peduli lingkungan siswa meningkat dari moral information level menjadi moral attitude level dengan nilai rerata 85,8 % (sangat baik). 3) respon positif oleh guru dan siswa terhadap penerapan model PjBL-TB dalam proses pembelajaran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PjBL-TB yang dikembangkan efektif membangun karakter peduli lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar. Development of the Batobo Tradition-Based Project Based Learning Model (PjBL-TB) to Build Students' Environmental Care Character in Elementary Schools. Promoter Prof. Dr. H. The background of this research is the low character of caring for the environment for fourth grade elementary school students in Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. One of the reasons is that learning is done in a less contextual way, not connecting with the characteristics of the local environment, such as traditions that are full of benevolent values. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a learning model that synergizes with tradition and can facilitate character building, including the Batobo tradition-based project-based learning model. This study aims to: 1) produce a project-based learning model based on the batobo tradition (PjBL-TB) in elementary schools; 2) test the effectiveness of the PjBL-TB model in building students' environmental care character; and 3) analyze the responses of teachers and students to the implementation of the PjBL-TB model. This study used a research and development (R&D) design that was modified into three stages: 1) a preliminary study; 2) development and effectiveness testing; and 3) discussing the results of the research. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students at SDN in Sentajo Raya Kuantan Singingi-Riau District. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, tests, and documentation are then analyzed using computer Excel programs and SPSS. Based on the results of the study, it was found that: 1) the design of the PjBL-TB model consisted of: (1) syntax, namely manyamulo (beginning), mancangkul (project planning), mananam (project implementation), manuai (discussion), and panutuik (evaluation); (2) social system; (3) principle of reaction; (4) support system; (5) instructional and nurturant impact. 2) According to the results of the effectiveness test of the application of the PjBL-TB model in the experimental class, the students' environmental care character increased from the moral information level to the moral attitude level with an average score of 85.8% (very good). 3) positive responses by teachers and students to the implementation of the PjBL-TB model in the learning process. It can be concluded that the developed PjBL-TB model is effective in building the character of caring for the environment in elementary school students.
