Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ecoliteracy peserta didik aspek kerjasama dalam pengolahan sampah organik dan anorganik melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil pendahuluan yang dilaksanakan oleh peneliti pada salah satu SD Negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan rendahnya ecoliteracy peserta didik aspek kerjasama dalam pengolahan sampah organik dan anorganik. Selain itu, sekolah tersebut belum mempunyai program atau strategi pengolahan sampah organik dan anorganik yang mengacu pada prinsip hidup berkelanjutan. Hal tersebut berdampak pula pada rendahnya sikap atau kesadaran peserta didik terhadap kepedulian lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan (Action Research) dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus, dengan melibatkan partisipan peserta didik, kepala sekolah, pembina pramuka, dan komunitas Rumah Sampah Berbasis Sekolah (RSBS). Dalam situasi pandemi covid-19, kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode luring terbatas dan observasi mandiri di rumah masing-masing peserta didik. Tindakan dilaksanakan mengacu pada tiga indikator utama ecoliteracy, yaitu komponen pengetahuan (head), sikap atau kesadaran (heart), dan aplikasi atau keterampilan (hand). Pengolahan sampah organik dilaksanakan melalui proyek tong komposter, sedangkan pengolahan sampah anorganik dilaksanakan melalui proyek ecobrick. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan ecoliteracy peserta didik aspek kerjasama dalam pengolahan sampah organik dan anorganik melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka.; This study aims to describe the ecoliteracy of students in the aspects of cooperation in processing organic and inorganic waste through scout extracurricular activities in elementary schools. This research is based on preliminary results conducted by researchers at one of the public elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. The results of the preliminary study showed the low ecoliteracy of students in the aspects of cooperation in processing organic and inorganic waste. In addition, the school does not yet have a program or strategy for organic and inorganic waste processing that refers to the principle of sustainable living. This has an impact on the low attitudes or awareness of students towards environmental awareness. This research used the Action Research method which was carried out in three cycles, involving student participants, school principals, scout coaches, and the school-based garbage house community (RSBS). In the covid-19 pandemic situation, activities are carried out with limited offline methods and independent observation at the homes of each student. Actions carried out refer to the three main indicators of ecoliteracy, namely the component of knowledge (head), attitude or awareness (heart), and application or skill (hand). Organic waste processing is carried out through a composter bin project, while inorganic waste processing is carried out through an ecobrick project. The results showed that there was an increase in the ecoliteracy of students in the cooperation aspect in processing organic and inorganic waste through scout extracurricular activities.
