Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan rancangan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III sekolah dasar serta mendeskripsikan kegiatan pendahuluan, inti dan penutup dari rancangan pembelajaran berbasis metode SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III salah satu SD di Kota Bandung dalam kegiatan pembelajaran membaca. Subjek penelitian ini adalah rancangan pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Delphi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi literatur dan angket/kuesioner. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan data kualitatif diolah melalui analisis saran perbaikan atau kesepakatan pakar, maka dapat disimpulkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa rancangan pembelajaran yang terdiri atas kegiatan pendahuluan, inti dan penutup disesuaikan dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah metode SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) dan indikator dari kemampuan membaca pemahaman yaitu, menemukan ide pokok, kalimat utama, istilah asing, membuat ringkasan dan kesimpulan diprediksi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Kata kunci: rancangan pembelajaran, metode SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review), kemampuan membaca pemahaman LEARNING DESIGN BASED ON THE SQ3R (SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE AND REVIEW) METHOD TO IMPROVE READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS FOR 3rd GRADE STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL By Dinda Jumiati Solihah 1603530 ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the learning design by applying the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) method to improve reading comprehension skills of 3rd grade elementary school students and describe the preliminary, core and closing activities of the SQ3R method based learning design (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) to improve reading comprehension skills of third grade elementary school students. This research was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of grade 3rd students of an elementary school in Bandung in reading learning activities. The subject of this research is the learning design. The research method used is the Delphi method. Data collection techniques using literature studies and questionnaires / questionnaires. The results obtained based on qualitative data are processed through analysis of suggestions for improvement or expert agreement, it can be concluded that the results of this study are that the learning design consisting of preliminary, core and closing activities is adjusted by applying the steps of the SQ3R method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) and indicators of reading comprehension skills, namely, finding main ideas, main sentences, foreign terms, making summaries and conclusions are predicted to improve reading comprehension skills of 3rd grade elementary school students.
