Abstract

Students develop with everything they have learned. Meeting students' sense of care for plants when undergoing teaching practice in an elementary school. This situation resulted in many puzzles, whether what was learned did not touch the students' sense of care, whether the learning experience through the environment was not presented in the classroom. Efforts to form a different learning experience about plants can be presented in the classroom through caring for plants, this activity can lead students to discover theories and everything in the learning while learning takes place through the students' own way. In connection with this, this study seeks to examine students' aesthetic experiences in plant growth material through a project based learning model presented in narrative form. Based on the understanding of Jakobson and Wickman (2008), aesthetic experiences are classified into two, namely positive and negative aesthetic experiences. Accompanied by Dewey's view (in Weddington, 2004) All aesthetic experiences are fundamentally educational because they prepare individuals for future interactions of a deeper quality and create a desire for transformative growth that never existed. This narrative research helps narrate aesthetic experiences to these students by analyzing students' interactions and speeches during this learning process. The unexpected activities of students who are present along this learning path do not always lead to things that are not expected so that in other words they can imply meaning in it.
