    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata hasil Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang masih banyak di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah minat belajar berperan memediasi pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri di Kecamatan Purwakarta, Kabupaten Purwakarta sebanyak 3 sekolah, kemudian menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh sebanyak 380 sampel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei eksplanatori dan teknik analisis data, yaitu analisis regresi berganda dengan variabel mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (i) kompetensi guru berada pada kategori sedang; (ii) minat belajar berada pada kategori rendah; dan rata-rata hasil belajar cederung berada di bawah KKM. (iii) minat belajar berperan memediasi sebagian (partial mediation) pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar.
    This research is based on student learning outcomes in economic subjects as evidenced by the average results of the final semester evaluation (PAS) of 2019/2020 academic year which is still less than the Minimum Criteria (KKM) in Purwakarta Sub-District, Purwakarta District Senior High Schools. This study aims to find out whether learning interest plays a role in mediating the effect of teacher competence on learning outcomes. The population in this study on class XI IIS of State High School Students in Purwakarta Sub-District, Purwakarta District with 3 schools. then using saturated sampling techniques 380 sampling. The method used is explanatory survey and data analysis techniques, namely multiple regression analysis with mediating variables. The results of the study show that (i) teacher competency is in the medium category; (ii) learning interest is in the low category; and the average learning outcomes tend to be under the KKM. (iii) The results showed that interest in learning played a partial mediating effect on teacher competence on learning outcomes.
