Abstract
Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh rendahnya percaya diri peserta didik kelas II-a SDN di Kota Bandung. Hal ini disebabkan oleh model, pendekatan, ataupun metode yang digunakan dan kurang memotivasi siswa sehingga siswa tidak mau untuk mengkomunikasikan hasil temuannya kedepan dan malu untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode show and tell edukatif untuk meningkatkan percaya diri siswa kelas II SDN di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & Taggart terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian di kelas II SD ini berjumlah 32 orang. PTK yang prosedurnya berbentuk siklus ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Pengolahan data berupa data kualitatif (reduksi data, paparan data, penarikan kesimpulan) dan data kuantitatif (penentuan kategori, dan presentase tuntas). Temuan penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan percaya diri pada siswa kelas II SDN di Kota Bandung dengan menerapkan metode show and tell edukatif.;-- This research is based on the low self-confidence of students of class II-a SDN in Bandung City. This is due to the model, approach, or method used and less motivating the students so that students do not want to communicate the findings to the fore and embarrassed to express their opinions. This study aims to describe the implementation of show and tell educative method to increase self-confidence of second grade students of Bandung State Elementary School. The research method used is Classroom Action Research Method (PTK) with Kemmis & Taggart model consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Research subjects in class II elementary school amounted to 32 people. PTK which procedure is in the form of cycle is done as much as two cycles. Data collection techniques such as observation, field notes, and documentation. Data processing in the form of qualitative data (data reduction, data exposure, conclusion) and quantitative data (category determination, and complete percentage). The research findings show that there is an increase of confidence in second grade students of SDN in Bandung by applying show and tell educative method.
