Abstract
Hasil belajar merupakan salah satu indikator keberhasilan proses belajar. Jika hasil belajar rendah maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tujuan pembelajaran belum tercapai dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar PPKn peserta didik kelas VII dan pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mencari solusi alternatif dengan menggunakan model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model STAD terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Populasinya adalah peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling dan diperoleh kelas VII-E (kelas eksperimen) dan VII-C (kelas kontrol). Pengumpulan data dalam bentuk tes pilihan ganda dan essay, skala sikap, dan angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan empat hal yaitu: (1) hasil tes awal hasil belajar peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memiliki kondisi awal yang sama; (2) hasil tes akhir hasil belajar peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol, hal ini dikarenakan kelas eksperimen menggunakan model STAD sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional; (3) persepsi peserta didik terhadap pelaksanaan model STAD direspon dengan baik dan positif; (4) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model STAD dengan kelas kontrol setelah diberikan perlakuan. Dengan demikian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa model STAD berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PPKn. .... Learning outcomes are one of the indicator of the success of the learning process. If the learning outcomes are low then it can be concluded that the learning objectives have not been achieved well. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of 7th grade students in Civic Education and the teacher-centered learning. Therefore, researchers look for alternative solutions using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) model. This research aims to determine the effect of STAD model on students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education. This research uses quantitative approach with quasi-experimental method and Non-equivalent Control Group Design research design. The population is 7th grade students in SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Samples were determined by using random sampling technique and obtained class VII-E (experimental class) and VII-C (control class). Data collection is in the form of multiple choice test and essay, attitude scale, and questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistics of normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. This research is showing four things: (1) the result of pre test of the students' learning outcomes in experiment class and control class have the same condition; (2) the result of post test of the students’ learning outcomes in the experimental class is higher than the control class, this is because the experimental class uses the STAD model while the control class uses the conventional method; (3) students' perceptions on the implementation of STAD model were responded well and positively; (4) there is a difference of students' learning outcomes between experimental classes which uses STAD model with control class after being given treatment. Thus, the researchers concluded that the STAD model has a positive effect on the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education.
