Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis mana yang lebih baik antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching berbasis RME dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional; 2) Untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching berbasis RME. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka digunakan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian kelompok pretes dan kelompok postes. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas yang terdiri dari 33 orang siswa perkelas. Satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching berbasis RME dan satu kelas lainnya sebagai kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Materi yang dibahas pada kedua kelas yaitu materi segiempat. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes (berupa pretes dan postes) dan instrumen non tes yang (berupa angket dan lembar observasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching berbasis RME lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional; 2) Siswa menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching berbasis RME. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu penerapan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching berbasis RME dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP.;--The purposes of this research are: 1) to know which the improvement of mathematical connection ability is better between students studying with RME-based reciprocal teaching model and students learning with conventional learning model; 2) to know the attitude of students towards the learning of mathematics using learning model of RME-based Reciprocal Teaching. To achieve this goal, the quasi-experimental research method is applied, which includes pre-test group research and post-test group designs within. The population of this study is all seventh grade students in the academic year 2017-2018 , which are using two classes consisting of 33 students from each class as the sample and taken place in one of the State Junior High School, West Bandung regency. One class serves as an experimental class applying a RME-based reciprocal teaching learning model and the other one serves as a control class applying conventional learning. The learning material discussed in both classes is the material of a quarter. Instruments used are test instruments (in the pretest and postest) and non-test instruments (in the form of questionnaire and observation sheet). After finishing this research, there are two results that are as follow: 1) the improvement of students mathematical connection ability in the experimental class applying RME-based reciprocal teaching learning model is better than the control class applying conventional learning; 2) Students who involve in learning with RME-based reciprocal teaching learning model show a positive attitude. The conclusion of this research is that the application of RME-based reciprocal teaching model can improve the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students.
