Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan sosial siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang diterapkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah model pembelajaran Role Playing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model Role Playing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model PTK Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua kali siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjeknya yaitu siswa kelas III semester II di salah satu SD Negeri di Kota Bandung dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang yang terdiri dari 11 orang siswa laki-laki dan 15 orang siswa perempuan. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis data kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data dan analisis data. Sedangkan analisis data kuantitatif berkaitan dengan ketercapaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan penskoran keterampilan sosial. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan siswa serta lembar observasi keterampilan sosial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan keterampilan sosial siswa yaitu pada siklus 1 mencapai 45,1% dan pada siklus II mencapai 84,3%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Role Playing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa.-- This research is motivated by the low social skills of third grade students of elementary school. One of the learning models applied to solve the problem is the Role Playing learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Role Playing model to improve the social skills of third grade students of elementary school. The method used is Research Action Class (PTK) model PTK Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects are third grade students of second semester in one of the State Elementary School in Bandung with 26 students consisting of 11 male students and 15 female students. Data processing techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis through data reduction stages, data presentation, data verification and data analysis. While quantitative data analysis relates to the achievement of learning and scoring of social skills. The research instrument used in the form of observation sheet of teacher and student activity and social skill observation sheet. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' social skills in the first cycle reached 45.1% and in the second cycle reached 84.3%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of Role Playing learning model can improve students' social skills.
