Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyak ditemukannya siswa Madrasah Aliyah dalam keadaan tidak memiliki konsepsi (TMK) dan miskonsepsi (MK) padahal mereka telah mengikuti pembelajaran reguler dengan guru di sekolahnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan gambaran tentang pengaruh penggunaan Computer Supported Conceptual Change Text (CSCCText) dalam pengajaran remedial materi listrik statis terhadap learning progression siswa MA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen semu desain the matching-only control group pretest-posttest. Sebagai pembanding, digunakan perlakuan berupa pengajaran remedial dengan menggunakan CCText. Subjek penelitian adalah para siswa kelas XII pada salah satu Madrasah Aliyah Swasta di Kota Bandung. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling yaitu para siswa MA yang telah mengikuti pembelajaran reguler materi listrik statis bersama gurunya di sekolah. Sesuai dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan, subjek penelitian dibagi menjadi dua kelas, yaitu kelas yang mendapatkan perlakuan pengajaran remedial dengan menggunakan CSCCText dan kelas yang mendapatkan perlakuan pengajaran remedial dengan menggunakan CCText. Masing-masing kelas terdiri atas 30 orang siswa. Keadaan konsepsi siswa pada saat sebelum dan setelah aktivitas CSCCText dan CCText didiagnosis dengan menggunakan tes konsepsi listrik statis dalam format four tier test (FTT). Learning progression yang dicapai siswa MA dianalisis berdasarkan perubahan konsepsi yang dialami siswa dari saat sebelum aktivitas CSCCText dan CCText ke saat setelah aktivitas CSCCText dan CCText. Berdasarkan kecenderungan perubahan konsepsi tersebut kemudian dihitung jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsinya dapat diremediasi dan jumlah siswa yang berada pada tiap tipe learning progression, yaitu tipe konsisten dengan konsepsi ilmiah, tipe berprogres dengan baik, tipe tidak berprogres, dan tipe mengalami degradasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaaan CSCCText dalam pengajaran remedial materi listrik statis dapat lebih menurunkan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi listrik statis dan dapat lebih memfasilitasi tercapainya tipe learning progression “berprogres dengan baik (BDB)” dibandingkan dengan penggunaan CCText.-- This research is motivated by many students of Madrasah Aliyah students who have no conception (lack of knowledge) and misconception (MC), although they have followed regular learning with teachers in their school. The purpose of this research is to get an idea about the influence of the use of Computer Supported Conceptual Change Text (CSCCText) in teaching remedial of static electricity content to learning progression of Madrasah Aliyah students. This research was conducted by using the quasi-experimental method of design matching-only control group pretest-posttest. As a control, the treatment in the form of remedial teaching using CCText was used. The subjects of the study were the students of class XII in one of the Private Madrasah Aliyah in Bandung City. The subjects of this study were chosen by purposive sampling ie the Madrasah Aliyah students who have followed regular learning of static electricity content by their teachers in their school. In accordance with the research design used, the subjects of the study were divided into two classes, namely the classes that received remedial teaching using CSCCText and the classes that received the remedial teaching by using CCText. Each class consists of 30 students. The state of student conception at the time before and after CSCCText and CCText activities was diagnosed by using static electricity conception test in four tier test format (FTT). Learning progression achieved by Madrasah Aliyah students is analyzed based on changes in conception experienced by students from the time before CSCCText and CCText activities to after CSCCText and CCText activities. Based on the tendency of change of conception then counted the number of students whose misconceptions can be remediated and the number of students residing in each type of learning progression, ie type consistent with scientific conception, well-progressed type, non-progressed type, and type of degradation. The results show that the use of CSCCText in the remedial teaching of static electricity content can further decrease the number of students who have misconceptions in static electricity and can better facilitate to achieve of learning progression type "well-progressed" compared with the use of CCText.
