Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam keterampilan menulis cerita pendek. Kesulitan yang dialami siswa antara lain menemukan ide cerita, menuliskan cerita, dan mengembangkan cerita. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media film pendek di kelas eksperimen; (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen tanpa menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw di kelas kontrol; (3) menganalisis perbedaan antara kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS2 dan XI IPS 5 SMAN 16 bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh di kelas eksperimen ketika pretes sebesar 62,466. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan berupa penerapan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media film pendek, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen meningkat sebesar 3,587 menjadi 66,053. Sementara itu, nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh di kelas kontrol ketika pretes adalah sebesar 60,6. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan dengan metode pembelajaran terlangsung yakni dengan metode ceramah, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks cerpen meningkat sebesar 1,066 menjadi 61,666. Siswa pun tidak terlalu antusias dalam menerima model pembelajaran baru. Hal tersebut karena siswa merasa malas dengan pembelajaran menulis dan sudah terbiasa dengan model pembelajaran dengan guru sebelumnyaDari hasil perhitungan statistik menggunakan software SPSS versi 24, didapat p-value 0,002 < 0,05, artinya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen.;--This research is motivated by students' difficulties in short story writing skills. Difficulties experienced by students include finding story ideas, writing stories, and developing stories. The purpose of this research are: (1) describe the ability of students in writing short stories before and after using cooperative model of jigsaw type with short film media in experiment class; (2) describe the ability of students in write short stories without using jigsaw type cooperative model in the control class; (3) to analyze the difference between students' ability to write short stories in the experimental class and control class. The method in this research is quasi experiment with research design nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS2 and XI IPS 5 SMAN 16 bandung academic year 2017/2018. The average value obtained in the experiment class when the pretest is 62.466. After doing treatment in the form of application of cooperative model of jigsaw type with short film media aid, students' ability in writing short story increased by 3,587 to 66,053. While the average value obtained in the control class when the pretest is equal to 60.6. After the treatment with the method of learning is straightened with the lecture method, the ability of students in writing short story text increased by 1.066 to 61.666. Students are less enthusiastic about accepting learning models. This is because students feel lazy with learning writing and are familiar with the model of learning with previous teachers. From the results of statistical calculations using SPSS software version 24, obtained p-value 0.002 <0.05, means that there is a significant difference between experimental class students and control classes in learning to write short stories.
