    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya mengoptimalkan keterampilan menulis. Hal tersebut disebabkan kegiatan menulis merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang dapat mengasah pemahaman dan aktualisasi peserta didik atas pembelajaran yang telah diajarkan. Namun hasil pencapaian keterampilan menulis peserta didik umumnya masih belum sesuai harapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Course Review Horay dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 orang di kelas eksperimen dan 30 orang di kelas kontrol yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu prates, perlakuan, dan pascates. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil tes menukis teks berita peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, nilai rata-rata prates di kelas eksperimen adalah 69,9, sedangkan di kelas kontrol adalah73,7. Nilai rata-rata pascates di kelas eksperimen adalah 85,3, sedangkan di kelas kontrol adalah 73,8. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh thitung sebesar 5.950, dan ttabel sebesar 2.000 yang menggunakan derajat kebebasan 58 dan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Maka diketahui thitung>ttabel atau 5.950>2.000. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan menulis antara peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Course Review Horay efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Oleh karena itu, model ini sebaiknya digunakan oleh guru-guru dalam pembelajaran menulis atau keterampilan berbahasa lainnya.;---This research is motivated by the importance of optimizing writing skills. This is because writing activities is an activity that can hone the understanding and actualization of learners on the learning that has been received. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model Course Review Horay type in learning to write news text. The purpose of this research is to knows effectiveness cooperative learning model Course Review Horay type in learning of writing write news text. The research method used quasi experimental with design nonequivalent control group design. Sample for this research consist of 30 people in experiment class and 30 people in control class which were taken by purposive sampling. This research was consist of three stages: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Data from this research is the result test of student in writing. Based on data analysis, average value in the experiment class on pre-tes is 69,9, meanwhile in the control class is 73,7. The average value in the experiment class on post-tes is 85,3, meanwhile in the control class is 73,8. Based on hypothesis test, it is get count 5.950, and list 2.000 with used degrees of freedom 58 and confidence level is 95%. Then know that count>list or 5.950> 2.000. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference in writing ability between learners in the experimental class and control class on learning to write news text. Thus, the cooperative learning model of Course Review Horay type is effectively used in learning to write news text.
