Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu masih rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa kelas X IPS SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi lembaga jasa keuangan dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan non-equivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes berbentuk pilihan ganda. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan statistika parametrik melalui uji t (paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test). Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh hasil: (i) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa pada kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakukan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share dengan peningkatan pada kategori sedang; (ii) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakukan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah.;--- The problem in this research is the low understanding of students concept at class X IPS SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. The purpose of the research is to determine the influences of the cooperative learning model think pair share type into student’s concept understanding on Indonesian financial services institutions topic. The research method is quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The research that used is a multiple-choice test. Hypothesis tested using statistical parametric with t-test (paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test). The result showed : (i) there are differences in concept understanding of students in the experiments class between before and after treatment using the cooperative learning model think pair share type with improvement in the medium category; (ii) there are differences in student’s concept understanding skills between experiments class that used the cooperative learning model think pair share type and control class that used the lecture method.
