Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan memahami dan keterampilan argumentasi siswa pada konsep listrik dinamis dengan mengimplementasikan model based inquiry menggunakan multi representasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain “randomized pretest-posttest control group design.” Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas X pada salah satu SMA di kota Tangerang Selatan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata N-gain kemampuan memahami dan keterampilan argumentasi siswa kelas yang mengimplementasikan model based inquiry menggunakan multi representasi dan kelas yang mengimplementasikan model based inquiry tanpa menggunakan multi representasi berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa implementasi model based inquiry menggunakan multi representasi secara signifikan dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan memahami fisika siswa dibandingkan implementasi model based inquiry tanpa menggunakan multi representasi. Kata kunci: model based inquiry, kemampuan memahami, keterampilan argumentasi ABSTRCT The aim research to understand increasing understanding ability and argumentation skills student in dynaimic electricity by implementation of model based inquiry with multi representation. The method of research is quasi experiment with randomize pretest posttest control group design. The sample of data in 10th grade in senior high school at Tangerang Selatan in 2016/2017. Based on this result of average N-gain of understanding ability and argumentation skills student which group of implementated model based inquiry with multi representation and group of implemented model based inquiry without multi representation in middle category. Conclusion of hypothesis testing that group of implemented model based inquiry with multi representation significanly more increase understanding ability and argumentation skills than group of implemented model based inquiry without multi representation.
