Abstract
This research is based on the observation of researchers that showed students at elementary school average not ready to accept the mathematical literacy matters. Therefore, it needs an effort to increase the literacy of mathematics, by implementation Multiliteracy-based learning. It is a learning that requires students to understand the problem which is related by mathematics concept. The result from this understanding will be represented by student in form of creative work. The aims of this research is to describe implementation of Multiliteracy-based learning and enhancement student literacy of mathematics. The research methods which is used is classroom action research with Kemmis and Taggart’s design. The instrument used in this research is observation sheets, field notes, evaluation sheets, and documentation sheets. Based on the research that has been done, the result that the process of learning based on Multi-literacy makes the students activities is more active. There were enhancement the mathematical literacy, it can be seen in the first cycle : 52, second cycle : 5, and third cycle :82. So can be concluded that Multiliteracy-based learning can be used to increase the ability of student’s Mathematical literacy.
