Abstract
Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di Kelas X IIS SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh antara metode problem based learning dengan metode diskusi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem based learning pada tingkat self efficacy tinggi, sedang dan rendah dan bagaimana interaksi metode pembelajaran dengan self efficacy terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen menggunakan desain factorial 3x2, objek penelitian seluruh siswa kelas X IIS yang terdiri dari 4 kelas. Kelas X IIS-3 sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan Kelas X IIS-4 sebagai kelas Kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner self efficacy dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Analisis data menggunakan inferensial parametris two-way ANOVA SPSS 20. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan metode problem based learning dan diskusi, 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem based learning pada tingkat self efficacy tinggi, sedang dan rendah dan 3) Terdapat interaksi metode pembelajaran dengan self efficacy. Kata Kunci: Metode Problem Based Learning, Self Efficacay, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis This research was motivated by the low of students’ critical thinking skills in SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong IIS class X. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect between the problem-based learning methods with discussion methods towards the students’ critical thinking skills, the difference in students’ critical thinking skills using problem-based learning on method at the high, medium and low level of self-efficacy, and how the interaction learning methods with self-efficacy towards the students' critical thinking skills. The research method was a quasi-experimental study using 3x2 factorial design and object research throughout the entire class X IIS consisting of 4 classes. IIS X-3 class as a class experiment and IIS X-4 class as a class Control. The study’s instruments using self efficacy questionnaires and critical thinking skills test. Data analysis using inferential parametric two-way ANOVA SPSS 20. The results of data analysis showed that: 1) There are differences in students’ critical thinking skills using problem-based learning and discussion, 2) There are differences in students’ critical thinking skills using problem-based learning on method learning at high, medium and low of self-efficacy levels, and 3) There is interaction learning method with self-efficacy.
