Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe index card match. Metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) mengadaptasi dari model PTK Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua kali siklus dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengambilan data dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan lembar evaluasi dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 22 siswa di kelas V dengan jumlah siswa laki-laki sebanyak 13 orang dan jumlah siswa perempuan sebanyak 9 orang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi siswa termasuk tinggi dengan persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 65,90 % dan pada siklus II sebesar 86,36 %. Pada siklus I dan II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20,46 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe index card match di kelas V SD terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi pembelajaran siswa.Dengan demikian model ini dapat dijadikan suatu alternative dalam pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan guru untuk meningkatkan motivasi pembelajaran siswa. ---------- This study aims to describe the motivation of students in social studies learningby using the model of cooperative type of index cards match. The method used is the class action Research researcher (PTK) adapted from models of PTK Kemmis and Mc. Taggart's research was conducted in two times the cycle by using a qualitative approach. Methods of data retrieval by using a sheet of observation and evaluation by the number of sheets of the subject as much as 22 students in class V with the number of male students as many as 13 people and the number of female students as many as 10 people. It can be concluded that the motivations of students including high with the average percentage of learning motivation of students in cycle I of 65.90% and cycle II amounted to 86.36%. In cycles I and II underwent an increase of 20.46%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model of the type of index cards match in class V SD proved can improve the learning motivation of students. Thus this model can be used as analternative in the learning that can be used to enhance teacher learning motivationof students.
