Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul “Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Reflektif Matematis Siswa SMP Melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah” ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional serta peningkatannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung dengan materi limas. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah kuasi eksperimen dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pencapaian maupun peningkatan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. ;--- This research which is entitled “Enhancement of Junior High School Student’s Mathematical Reflective Thinking Ability used Problem Based Learning” aims at discovering the difference of mathematical reflective thinking’s achievements between the students receiving Problem Based Learning and those receiving conventional learning as well as the difference of mathematical reflective thinking ability’s improvement between the students receiving Problem Based Learning and those receiving conventional learning. This research was conducted at Junior High School in Bandung with eighth graders as the participants on Pyramid. This research used quasi-experimental method with test instrument. It was found that there was difference of the mathematical reflective thinking ability’s achievement as well as improvement between the students receiving Problem Based Learning and the students receiving conventional learning.
