Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada temuan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Syamsuri pada tahun 2010 yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika lebih didominasi oleh guru sehingga siswa menjadi pasif dan tidak lebih kreatif dalam memecahkan masalah. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan apakah data peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis (KBKM) dan self confidence (SC) siswa yang mendapatkan pendekatan open-ended dalam setting cooperative learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pendekatan open-ended tanpa setting cooperative learning. Metode peneltian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimen pre and post test design. Subjek penelitian (sampel) adalah siswa kelas IV pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017 di salah satu SD di Kota Bandung. Data penelitian kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes, sedangkan self confidence menggunakan skala sikap. Analisis data menggunakan statistik uji t dan nonparametrik dengan uji Mann Whitney. Hal ini dikarenakan data berdistribusi normal dan tidak normal. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa KBKM dan SC siswa yang melalui pendekatan open-ended dalam setting cooperative learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang melalui melalui pendekatan open-ended tanpa setting cooperative learning. Hal tersebut juga berlaku jika ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) siswa. Peningkatan KBKM dengan menerapkan pendekatan open-ended dalam setting cooperative learning berada pada kriteria sedang dan peningkatan SC dengan menerapkan pendekatan open-ended dalam setting cooperative learning berada kriteria rendah.----------This research is based on research findings conducted by Syamsuri in 2010 which shows that learning mathematics is more dominated by teachers so that students become passive and not creative in solving problems. The purpose of this research is to describe data of the enhancement of mathematical creative thinking ability (KBKM) and self confidence (SC) of students through an open-ended approach in cooperative learning setting is higher than students through an open-ended approach without cooperative learning setting. The research method used is quasi-experimental pre and post test design. Research subject (sample) is fourth grade in the academic year 2016/2017 in one of primary school in Bandung. Research data of mathematical creative thinking ability is collected using test instrument, whereas self confidence use attitude scale. Statistic data analysis used t-test and nonparametric with Mann Whitney test. The result of hypothesis research and test show that KBKM and SC students through an open-ended approach in cooperative learning setting is higher than students through an open-ended approach without cooperative learning setting. This also applies from the student's early mathematical ability (KAM). The enhancement of KBKM through an open-ended approach in cooperative learning setting is in medium criteria and the enhancement of SC through an open-ended approach in cooperative learning setting is in low criteria.
