Abstract

Penelitian ini mengenai penggunaan media mock up terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran konstruksi bangunan di SMKN 2 Bogor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) penggunaan media mock up pada mata pelajaran konstruksi bangunan, (2) kemampuan awal siswa dengan menggunakan media mock up dan media power point, (3) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan media mock up dan media power point, (4) perbedaan peningkatan penggunaan media mock up dan media power point terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi exsperimental design dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas X BA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X BB sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan media mock up. Sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan media power point. Intrumen yang digunakan berupa tes (pre-test dan post-test) dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penggunaan media mock up termasuk pada kategori sangat baik. (2) kemampuan awal siswa sebelum menggunakan media mock up dan power point pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol didapatkan hasil belajar yang menunjukan tidak terdapat perbedaan nilai diantara kedua kelas tersebut. (3) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan media mock up dan media power point didapatkan hasil belajar yang menunjukan terdapat perbedaan nilai diantara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. (4) Perbedaan peningkatan dengan digunakannya media mock up dan media power point menunjukan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci : Media Mock Up, Hasil Belajar, Konstruksi Bangunan This study concerns about the effect of the usage of mock-up media towards the students’ learning achievement on Building Construction subject in SMKN 2 Bogor. This study aims to find out (1) the category of the usage of mock-up media on Building Construction subject; (2) the pre-condition students’ ability in using mock-up media and power point media; (3) the improvement of learning achievement by using mock-up media and power point media; (4) the distance between the students’ learning improvement by mock-up media and by PowerPoint media. The method of the research used was quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the research was the students of X-BA class as the experiment class which using mock-up media and the students of X-BB class as the control class using power point. The instrument of the research were test sheets (pre-test and post-test) and observation sheets. The result of the research shows that (1) the usage of mock-up media on Building Construction subject is in a “very good” category; (2) the score of both classes shows no difference in the pre-condition students’ ability in using mock-up media and power point media; (3) there is a different improvement of learning achievement by using mock-up media and power point media; (4) there is a distance between the students’ learning improvement by mock-up media and by powerpoint media.
