Abstract
Departemen Kurikulum dan Teknologi Pendidikan, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Tahun 2016. Pengaruh model pembelajaran learning cycle dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajarn learning cycle dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajarn konvensional pada mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam kelas VIII. Rumusan masalah umum dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah terdapat perbedaan pada model pembelajaran Learning Cycle dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA)?Sedangkan rumusan masalah khusus dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah terdapat perbedaan pada model pembelajaran Learning Cycle dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa aspek mengingat, aspek memahami dan aspek menerapkan pada mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam kelas VIII? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi ekpserimen dengan desain non equivalen control group design pre test post test only. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes objektif pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 soal. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klaster (gugus). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif aspek mengingat (C1) pada siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. 2) Hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif aspek memahami (C2) pada siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. 3) Hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif aspek menerapkan (C3) pada siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. The aim of this study is to analyze and describe the differences of students learning outcomes among students who use learning cycle as a learning model with students who use conventional learning models on Science Subject (IPA) in the 8th grade. The formulation of the problems in this research is, is there any differences in the Learning Cycle model compared to conventional learning model to improve student learning outcomes in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects? While the formulation of the specific problems in this study is, whether there is a difference in the Learning Cycle model compared to conventional learning model to improve student learning outcomes on the memorizing aspect, the comprehending aspect, and the implementing aspects of the Natural Science (IPA) subjects in the 8th grade? The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental with non equivalen control group design pre test post test only design. The instrument used in this study is an objective test of 30 multiple-choice questions. The sampling technique used a clustering techniques (cluster). The result of this study were: 1) Students learning outcomes of cognitive aspects of memorizing (C1) on students who use learning cycle model is significantly higher than students who use conventional learning models. 2) Students learning outcomes of cognitive aspects of comprehending (C2) on students who use learning cycle model is significantly higher than students who use conventional learning models. 3) Students learning outcomes of cognitive aspects of implementing (C3) on students who use learning cycle model is significantly higher than students who use conventional learning models. Because by using model learning cycle students are encouraged to participate actively in learning.
