Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi siswa yang merasa kesulitan untuk membaca teks bahasa Arab. Kemampuan membaca merupakan kemampuan yang sangat penting dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab, karena secara umum kemampuan membaca bertujuan agar peserta didik mampu memahami isi dari teks bacaan secara baik dan benar. Namun kenyataannya dari hasil observasi dan hasil pre test menunjukan bahwa kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab siswa Mts Al-Musyawarah Lembang masih rendah, padahal kemampuan membaca bahasa Arab sangat diperlukan. Maka dari itu peneliti menggunakan Strategi Think Talk Write dalam memudahkan siswa membaca teks bahasa Arab. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi eksperimental nonequivalent control group design dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, yakni penelitian yang dilakukan menekankan analisis pada data-data numeric (angka). Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengambil dua kelas, yaitu kelas VII E sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan strategi think talk write dan kelas VII F sebagai kelas kontrol yang tanpa menggunakan strategi think talk write. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan peningkatan nilai posttest pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol. Maka peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Arab yang menggunakan strategi think talk write dan yang tanpa menggunakan strategi think talk Write terhadap peningkatan keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Arab. ;---The background of this research is the condition of students who find difficult to read the Arabic text. The reading ability is a skill that is very important in the study of Arabic, because in general the reading ability has the aims to make students able to understand the contents of the reading text goodly and properly. But, the reality of the observations and the results of pre-test showed that the reading ability of Arabic text to students Mts Al-Musyawarah Lembang still low whereas the reading ability of Arabic is very necessary. So the researchers used the Think Talk Write strategy to easier the students to read the Arabic text. The method of this research is a quasi experimental nonequivalent control group design with a quantitative approach, which this research emphasizes on the analysis of numeric data (numbers). The samples of this research are VII E grade students as an experimental class that used the talk think write strategy and VII F grade student as a control class without used talk think write strategy. The calculations showed an increase to posttest value in experimental class is greater than control class. So the researchers concluded that there are significant differences between the reading skills which used the think talk write strategy and the reading skills without used the think talk write strategy towards the improvement of reading skills the arabic text.
