Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya anggapan sebagian besar mahasiswa Departemen Pendidian Bahasa Arab (PBA) UPI bahwa Nahwu sulit dipelajari dan dipahami. Hal tersebut menjadikan penguasaan ilmu Nahwu mahasiswa kurang memuaskan. Kurangnya aplikasi terhadap teori- teori Nahwu yang telah didapatkan juga merupakan salah satu dari munculnya permasalahan tersebut. Dalam hal ini, peneliti mendeskripsikan berbagai kesulitan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran ilmu Nahwu di Departemen PBA UPI melalui penyebaran angket, selanjutnya peneliti menganalisis struktur atau pola yang sering dijumpai (tarakib syai’ah) yang terdapat dalam buku Al-arabiyyah bayna yadayka, yang meliputi murakkab, jumlah ismiyah dan jumlah fi’liyah. Kemudian, hasil dari analisis tarakib syai’ah tersebut diimplementasikan melalui model discovery learning sebagai salah satu upaya mencari solusi alternatif untuk dapat meningkatkan pemahaman Nahwu mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method. Berkenaan dengan hasil analisis angket ditemukan beberapa problematika Proses Belajar Mengajar (PBM) Nahwu dan solusinya, yang berkaitan dengan buku ajar, media, metode, dan sistem evaluasi. Dan berdasarkan pola-pola tarakib syai’ah hasil penelitian Abdurahman (2015), melalui penyebaran angket peneliti menemukan tarakib syaiah dikalangan mahasiswa yaitu: 4 muarakkab, 15 tarkib jumlah ismiyah dan 4 tarkib jumlah fi’liyah. Adapun hasil analisis tarakib syai’ah buku Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayka jilid kedua, dapat diketahui dari 8 murrakab yang ada, terdapat 5 murakkab yang syai’ah. Kemudian peneliti menemukan 18 tarkib jumlah ismiyah, dan dari 18 tarkib tersebut 8 tarkib yang dinyatakan syai’ah. Selanjutnya, peneliti menemukan 9 tarkib jumlah fi’liyah, dan dari 9 tarkib terdapat 5 tarkib yang dinyatakan syai’ah. Adapun hasil implementasi tarakib syai’ah melaui model discovery learning dalam pembelajaran nahwu di Departemen PBA UPI sangat berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan pemahaman Nahwu mahasiswa. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil posttest yang meningkat. Rekomendasi penelitian ini ditujukan kepada berbagai pihak, diantaranya guru dan penelitian selanjutnya. --- This research is motivated by the belief of the most students of the Department of Arabic Education UPI that Nahwu (Arabic syntax) is difficult to learn and understand. It also makes the students mastery of Arabic syntax unsatisfactory. The lack of application of the theories of Arabic syntax that have been obtained is also one of the reasons for the emergence of these problems. In this case, the researchers describe the difficulties faced by them in learning Arabic syntax in the Department of Arabic Education UPI by questionnaire analysis. The researchers further analyzed the structure or pattern that is often encountered (tarakib syai’ah) and contained in the book Al-Arabiyyah bayna yadayka. The tarakib includes murakkab (phrase), jumlah ismiyah (nominal clause) and jumlah fi'lyah (verbal clause). Then, the results of the analysis of tarakib syai’ah is implemented through a model of discovery learning as an effort to find alternative solutions to improve students’ understanding of Nahwu in the Arabic Education UPI. The method used in this research is mixed method. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis, the researcher finds some problems about teaching and learning Nahwu and their solutions, related to their textbooks, media, methods, and evaluation systems. According to the syntactic structure based on the results of Abdurrahman’s research (2015) by taking the questionnaire, researcher finds the syntactic structure among the students, namely: 4 muarakab (phrases), 15 tarkib jumlah ismiyah (nominal clause structure), and 4 tarkib jumlah fi'liyah (verbal clause structure). Based on the analysis of tarakib syai’ah found in the book Al-Arabiyyah bayna yadayka second volume, it can be seen from the existing 8 murakkab (phrases),that there are 5 murakkab wich are syai’ah (popular). Then researchers found 18 tarkib jumlah ismiyah (nominal clause structure), and from the 18 tarkib (pattern) the 8 tarkib are popular or syai’ah. Furthermore, the researcher finds 9 tarkib jumlah fi'liyah (verbal clause structure), and from the 9 tarkib the 5 tarkib are popular or syai’ah. The result of the implementation of tarakib syai’ah learned through model of discovery learning in teaching Nahwu in the Department of Arabic Education UPI is that model is really influential to increase the students’ understanding of Nahwu. It is based on the results of the posttest that improve from the previous pretest. This research’s recommendation addressed to various parties, including teachers and further researcher. ---
