Abstract
Pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen pada hakikatnya merupakan kegiatan untuk dapat menggauli sebuah karya sastra. Banyak nilai-nilai karakter positif dalam cerpen yang dapat dijadikan cerminan kehidupan bagi siswa. Salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan kemampuan siswa agar dapat mengapresiasi cerpen dengan baik adalah dengan memilih model pembelajaran yang mampu mengaktifkan serta mengasah karakter positif dalam diri siswa. Penggunaan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbasis nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk dapat belajar aktif dan mandiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk dapat menemukan tiga hal: (1) profil pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen yang selama ini berlangsung di kelas XI SMAN 16 Garut; (2) proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbasis nilai-nilai karakter di kelas XI SMA N 16 Garut; (3) efektivitas pembelajaran apresiasi teks cerpen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbasis nilai-nilai karakter di kelas XI SMAN 16 Garut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI SMAN 16 Garut tahun ajaran 2014-2015. Dari populasi tersebut diambil sampel sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kekas XI IPA 1 dan kelas XI IPA 4. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) profil pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen siswa SMAN 16 Garut kelas XI tahun ajaran 2014-2015 kurang mengaktifkan siswa dalam belajar, karena masih menggunkan model pembelajaran ekspositori; (2) proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbasis nilai-nilai karakter di kelas XI SMA N 16 Garut tahun ajaran 2014-2015 dilaksanakan dengan tiga kali perlakuan mengikuti tahapan-tahapan sesuai dengan konsep yang tertera dalam model pembelajaran Discovery Learning yaitu: Stimulation (stimulasi/pemberian rangsangan), Problem Statement (pernyataan/identifikasi masalah), Data Collections (pengumpulan data), Data Processing (pengolahan data), Verification (pembuktian), dan Generalization (menarik kesimpulan/generalisasi); (3) model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbasis nilai-nilai karakter efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen pada siswa SMAN 16 Garut kelas XI tahun ajaran 2014-2015 karena hasil uji signifikansi dengan uji t, diperoleh hasil t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel yaitu 0,000<0,05. Appreciation learning stories is essentially an activity to be able to have intercourse with a literary work. Many positive character values in the stories that can be used as a reflection of lifes for students. One of the efforts to develop the capabilities of students to be able to appreciate the stories well is to choose a learning model that is able to activate and hone positive character in students. Usage-based learning model Learning Discovery character values in appreciation learning stories develop students' ability to learn actively and independently. This research was conducted to find three things: (1) short stories appreciation learning profile that has been taking place in class XI SMAN 16 Garut ; (2) execution of the learning process that uses short stories appreciation Discovery Learning-based learning model character values in class XI SMA N 16 Garut; (3) the effectiveness of the short story text appreciation learning by using model-based Learning Discovery character values in class XI SMAN 16 Garut. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental. The population in this study is a class XI student of SMAN 16 Garut 2014-2015. Of the population sample taken two classes of grade XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 4. The sampling technique is done by selecting two classes for the research sample. Based on the analysis and discussion of the data we concluded that: (1) profile stories appreciation learning SMAN 16 Garut class XI 2014-2015 is lack to enable students to learn, because they use the model of expository; (2) execution of the learning process that uses short stories appreciation Discovery Learning-based learning model character values in class XI SMA N 16 Garut 2014-2015 implemented by three stages of treatment to follow in accordance with the concept stated in the learning model Discovery Learning namely: stimulation (stimulation / administration stimulus), problem Statement (statement / identification problem), data Collections (collecting data), data Processing (data processing), verification (verification), and generalization (draw conclusions / generalizations); (3) discovery Learning-based learning model character values effectively applied in appreciation of stories on student learning SMAN Garut 16 class XI 2014-2015 because the results of tests of significance with the t test, t count result is smaller than t table is 0.000 < 0.05.
