Abstract
Dalam pengajaran bahasa Jepang, kosakata merupakan aspek yang sangat penting guna menunjang kelancaran berkomunikasi dan menulis dalam bahasa Jepang. Untuk itu, sangat dibutuhkan metode pengajaran yang menarik dan sistematis agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model cooperative learning tipe inside outside circle (IOC) dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Jepang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen murni dengan pola “Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design”. Populasi yang digunakan adalah 24 orang siswa SMA Puragabaya kelas XI semester genap tahun ajaran 2013-2014. Masing-masing terdiri dari 12 orang sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah dan 12 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode inside outside circle (IOC). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui nilai rata-rata siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan sebesar 66,94 dan setelah diberikan perlakuan diperoleh nilai 97,22 dengan t hitung sebesar 3,12 dengan db = 22 pada taraf signifikasi 5% = 2,07 dan 1 % = 2,82. Karena t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel, maka hipotesis kerja dalam penelitian diterima bahwa model cooperative learning tipe inside outside circle (IOC) efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Jepang. Berdasarkan hasil angket diketahui hampir seluruh responden setuju bahwa tipe inside outside circle (IOC) merupakan metode yang menarik dan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa jepang. ---------- In Japanese language learning, vocabulary is a very important aspect to support fluency of communication and writing in Japanese. Therefore, it is necessary to have attractive and systematic teaching methods so we can reach the goal well. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of the type of inside outside circle (IOC) application to improve Japanese vocabulary. We used a pure experimentation method with "pretest-posttest control group design". The population of this study is 24 students of Puragabaya Senior High School in the second grade 2013-2014. We divided them into two groups, control group with usual lecture method and experiment group with inside outside circle (IOC) method. We used tests and questionnaires as instruments. Based on the analysis, we found the average value of students before the treatment was 66.94 and after the treatment was 97.22 with t of 3.12 and db = 22 at 5% significance level = 2.07 and 1% = 2.82. Because the t score was higher than t table, thus the hypothesis was accepted, it means the cooperative learning model of the type of inside outside circle (IOC) is effective in improving Japanese vocabulary. Based on the questionnaires, we found that mostly respondents agreed that the type of inside outside circle (IOC) was an interesting method and can be used as an alternative to improve Japanese vocabulary in the way of teaching process.
