Abstract

Capaian dalam keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa di Indonesia masih rendah, karena metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan di sekolah belum menggali kPS siswa secara utuh. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan disalah satu sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di Bandung ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh inquiry lesson terhadap peningkatan KPS terintegrasi siswa dalam pembelajaran pencemaran lingkungan, serta mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pelaksanaan inquiry lesson.Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas sampel dari kelas sepuluh, meliputi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inquiry lesson memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap KPS terintegrasi siswa. KPS terintegrasi siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria indeks gain (0,39) “sedang” pada kelas eksperimen dan (0,02) “rendah” pada kelas kontrol. Indikator KPS terintegrasi yang masih tergolong rendah yaitu keterampilan merancang percobaan, eksperimen dan mengumpulkan data. Hasil ini didukung melalui respon siswa yang pada umumnya menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran inquiry lesson membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep pencemaran air. Pembelajaran inquiry lesson dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk mengukur KPS terintegrasi siswa SMA. Kata kunci : Inquiry lesson,KPS terintegrasi, pencemaran lingkungan Students achievment at science process skill (SPS) in Indonesia still low, because the learning methods that used at the school still did not show yet students SPS. The research conducted at one on senior high school (SMA) in Bandung aims to analyse the influence of inquiry lesson toward of students integrated SPS in environment pollution learning, and also to know the students responses to the implementation of inquiry lesson. This reseach used two classes of grade ten as sampels, wich are experiment class and control class. The method wes quasi experimental design. The results showed that the inquiry lesson give a significant influence on the integrated student’s SPS. Integrated student’s SPS has increased with the index gain criteria (0.39) which means "medium" for the experimental class and (0.02) which means "low" for the control class. Integrated student’s SPS indicators which still relatively low are the skill of designing experiment, experiment and collecting data. These results are supported by through student responses which generally states that the inquiry lesson help them to understand the concept of water pollution. Inquiry lesson can beused as an alternative to measure integreted high school students, integrated SPS. Keywords: Inquiry lesson, integrated SPS, environmental pollution
