Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kinerja karyawan. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan turunnya hasil penilaian kinerja karyawan, serta menurunnya produktivitas. Fenomena tersebut harus segera ditangani karena karyawan merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menentukan keberhasilan suatu perusahaan. Kemampuan dan motivasi kerja dijadikan suatu cara untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan, motivasi kerja, kinerja karyawan, pengaruh kemampuan terhadap kinerja karyawan, pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan, pengaruh kemampuan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan Biro Produksi PT Kertas Padalarang. Objek yang menjadi unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan Biro Produksi PT Kertas Padalarang. Variabel bebas (X) dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan dan motivasi kerja, serta variabel terikat (Y) yaitu kinerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, verifikatif, dan metode yang digunakan yaitu explanatory survey dengan teknik sampel jenuh dengan jumlah sebanyak enam puluh orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linear berganda dengan alat bantu software komputer SPSS 21.0 Hasil temuan penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kemampuan dan motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan tingkat korelasi sangat kuat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan sebagai dasar untuk dilakukannya penelitian lain mengenai kemampuan dan motivasi kerja dengan indikator dan objek yang berbeda. This study is designed on the basis of employee’s low performance. This is highly proven by the decreasing result of employee’s performance and the lower number of productivity. These phenomena had to solve soon since the employees is one of the important factor that can determine success of a company. Ability and work motivation can be combined to increase the employees’ performance. This research aimed to know the description of ability, work motivation, employees’ performance and influence of ability concerning employee’s performance Biro Produksi at PT Kertas Padalarang. The object of this research was the employees of Biro Produksi PT Kertas Padalarang. The independent variable (X) in this research was ability and work motivation. Moreover, the dependent variable (Y) was employees’ performance. This research used descriptive and verification and this research used explanatory survey method with sampling saturated as much as sixty people. The analysis in this research used linear regression by SPSS 21.0 as a tool. The result of this research was ability has influence positive and significant concerning employees’ performance. Additionally, work motivation has influence positive and significant into employees’ performance. Ability and work motivation have influence positive and significant concerning employees’ performance in very strong correlation. According to the result of this research, the writer expect this research will be a basic research to be done the other research regarding ability and work motivation with
