Abstract
Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kesulitan belajar (learning obstacle) siswa pada konsep energi potensial, serta untuk mengetahui bentuk desain didaktis yang dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar tersebut. Kesulitan belajar siswa dalam hal ini dikelompokkan berdasarkan konsepnya. Desain didaktis yang dimaksud berupa rancangan pembelajaran yang dibuat, diimplementasikan dan dikembangkan oleh guru (Suryadi, 2010) untuk mengurangi kesulitan belajar. Penelitian dilakukan pada sejumlah siswa kelas XI IPA di salah satu SMA di kota Bandung dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data tes dan observasi, dengan desain penelitian Didactical Design Research (DDR). Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bentuk kesulitan belajar siswa dalam konsep energi potensial serta desain didaktis yang dapat mengatasi kesulitan tersebut. A descriptive qualitative study aims to find out form of learning obstacle on the concept of potential energy, as well as to know the didactical design that can tackle the learning obstacle. The learning obstacles in this regard is grouped by the concept. The didactical design is the form of draft learning created, implemented and developed by teachers (Suryadi, 2010) to reduce learning obstacles. The research was carried out on a number of the students of Science Class XI in a Senior High School in Bandung using data collection method of tests and observation, with the design of Didactical Design Research (DDR). The results of this research which is a form of learning obstacles of students in the concept of potential energy and the didactical design that can tackle the learning obstacles.
