Abstract
Pendidikan sangat berkaitan dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran pada
proses belajar mengajar. Metode pembelajaran yang sering digunakan di SMK BPP
Bandung khususnya pada mata pelajaran Pastry and Bakery yaitu metode ceramah
yang berpusat pada guru dengan sistem komunikasi satu arah. Penerapan metode
ini sangat mudah diterapkan, namun menimbulkan kejenuhan pada siswa dalam
belajar karena suasana pembelajaran yang monoton. Hal ini menyebabkan hasil
belajar siswa yang tidak optimal. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang cenderung
disukai oleh siswa yaitu media pembelajaran berbasis video. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran, perbedaan hasil belajar
siswa, efektivitas penggunaan media video tutorial terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada
mata pelajaran Pastry dan Bakery kelas XI kuliner di SMK BPP Bandung. Metode
penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan dua kelompok sampel
yaitu eksperimen (media video tutorial) dan kontrol (media konvensional). Hasil
penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media video tutorial dapat
meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan signifikan (P<0,05) berdasarkan
uji paired sample t-test dan cukup efektif (69%) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar
siswa pada mata pelajaran Pastry dan Bakery berdasarkan uji N-gain. Oleh karena
itu, penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis video tutorial sangat direkomendasikan
dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
Education is closely related to the application of learning methods in the
teaching and learning process. The learning method that is often used at SMK BPP
Bandung, especially in Pastry and Bakery subjects, is the teacher-centered lecture
method with a one-way communication system. The application of this method is
very easy to apply, but it causes boredom in students in learning because of the
monotonous learning atmosphere. This causes student learning outcomes that are
not optimal. One of the learning media that students tend to like is video-based
learning media. This study aims to determine the implementation of learning,
differences in student learning outcomes, the effectiveness of using video tutorial
media on student learning outcomes in Pastry and Bakery class XI culinary subjects
at SMK BPP Bandung. The research method used is quasi experiment with two
sample groups, namely experimental (video tutorial media) and control
(conventional media). The results of this study indicate that the application of video
tutorial media can significantly improve student learning outcomes (P<0.05) based
on the paired sample t-test and is quite effective (69%) in improving student
learning outcomes in Pastry and Bakery subjects based on the N-gain test.
Therefore, the application of video tutorial-based learning media is highly
recommended in improving student learning outcomes.
