Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta diidk pada pembelajaran IPAS. Berdasarkan observasi awal, ditemukan bahwa hasil belajar pada pembelajaran IPAS masih terdapat pada kriteria rendah. Dimana siswa tidak mampu menyebutkan organ peredaran darah manusia beserta fungsi dan bagiannya serta peserta didik yang tidak mengetahui karakteristik bentang alam dan tidak dapat membedakan ragam bentang alam dan kekayaan alamnya. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk diketahui efektivitasnya terhadap hasil belajar IPAS. Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang lebih mengutamakan keaktifan peserta didik agar selalu berpikir kritis serta selalu terampil ketika dihadapkan untuk menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan. Sintaks dalam model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning yaitu: Mengorientasikan siswa pada masalah, mengorganisasikan siswa untuk belajar, membantu penyelidikan mandiri dan kelompok, mengembangkan dan menyajikan hasil karya serta memamerkannya, dan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif desain pre-eksperimen one group pretest- post-test. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 22 siswa kelas 4 di salah satu SD di Kota Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal tes berupa soal essai. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji n-gain. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, rata-rata hasil pre-test dan post-test mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari 57.614 menjadi 88,64. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima serta menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik yang siginifikan. Dalam uji N-Gain diperoleh skor N-Gain sebesar 0.6918 yang berarti skor N-Gain berada pada kategori “sedang”. Sedangkan nilai n-gain persen sebesar 69.1839 menunjukkan bahwa kriteria tafsiran efektivitas berada pada tafsiran “Cukup Efektif”. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of participants in learning science sciences. Based on initial observations, it was found that the learning outcomes in social studies learning were still at low criteria. Where students are unable to mention the human circulatory organs and their functions and parts as well as students who do not know the characteristics of the landscape and cannot distinguish the variety of landscapes and their natural wealth. In this study, the researcher applied the Problem Based Learning learning model to determine its effectiveness on the learning outcomes of science and science. The Problem Based Learning model is a learning model that prioritizes the activeness of students so that they always think critically and are always skilled when faced with solving a problem. The syntax in the Problem Based Learning learning model is: Orienting students to problems, organizing students to learn, assisting with independent and group investigations, developing and presenting works and exhibiting them, and analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process. This study uses a quantitative approach of one group pre-experiment design pretest-post-test. The sample in this study was 22 grade 4 students in one of the elementary schools in Cimahi City. The instrument used is test questions in the form of essay questions. The data analysis used was a normality test, a hypothesis test and an n-gain test. Based on the data obtained, the average pre-test and post-test results have increased, from 57,614 to 88.64. Based on the hypothesis test, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, which means that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted and showed that there was a significant increase in students' social science learning outcomes. In the N-Gain test, an N-Gain score of 0.6918 was obtained, which means that the N-Gain score is in the "medium" category. Meanwhile, the n-gain percent value of 69.1839 shows that the criteria for interpreting effectiveness are in the interpretation of "Quite Effective".
