Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematis penting bagi peserta didik untuk menghadapi tantangan dan peluang di era global yang kompleks dan kompetitif. Berdasarkan hasil laporan PISA dan penelitian terdahulu mengungkapakn bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik SMP melalui pembelajaran Inquiry Co-Operation Model pada materi Statistika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian quasi experiment. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, diambil dua kelas yang digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 29 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes berupa soal kemampuan literasi matematis dan soal non-tes berupa angket respons peserta didik. Setelah dilakukan analisis data tes dan non-tes, diperoleh Kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Peserta didik dengan kemampuan awal rendah mampu menjawab soal level 1 (20%) dan level 2 (75%), peserta didik dengan kemampuan awal sedang mampu menjawab level 1 (60,86%), level 2 (69,86%), level 3 (26,08%), dan level 4 (52,17%), dan peserta didik dengan kemampuan awal tinggi mampu menjawab soal level 1 (50%), level 2 (100%) dan level 4 (50%); 2) Peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran Inquiry Co-Operation Model lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; dan 3) Respons peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran Inquiry Co-Operation Model secara keseluruan termasuk pada kategori positif. Oleh karena itu, Inquiry Co-Operation Model dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika sebagai Upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik. Mathematical literacy skills are important for students to face challenges and opportunities in a complex and competitive global era. Based on the results of the PISA report and previous research reveals that the mathematical literacy skills of students in Indonesia are still relatively low. This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematical literacy skills of junior high school students through Inquiry Co-Operation Model learning on Statistics material. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experiment research method. The research design used is non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all grade VIII students in one of the public junior high schools in West Bandung Regency in the 2023/2024 school year and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling, two classes were taken which were used as experimental and control classes, each class consisting of 29 students. The instruments used are test instruments in the form of mathematical literacy ability questions and non-test questions in the form of student response questionnaires. After analyzing the test and non-test data, it was concluded that: 1) students with low initial ability were able to answer level 1 (20%) and level 2 (75%) questions, students with moderate initial ability were able to answer level 1 (60.86%), level 2 (69.86%), level 3 (26.08%), and level 4 (52.17%), and students with high initial ability were able to answer level 1 (50%), level 2 (100%) and level 4 (50%); 2) The improvement in mathematical literacy skills of students who received Inquiry Co-Operation Model learning was significantly higher than that of students who received direct learning; and 3) Students' responses to learning the Inquiry Co-Operation Model as a whole are in the positive category. Therefore, the Inquiry Co-Operation Model can be applied in mathematics learning as an effort to improve students' mathematical literacy skills.
